Notching 4X4 Deck Posts

Failing railing, rebuilt like this. My old rail was notched 4x4 with 2 carriage bolts. This I used 4 8” Simpson sdws screws into blocking. Would you add anything else? (Besides the Can i nail a 2x4 on the side of this notched 4x4 to give it more strength for the railing?
