In 'Requiem for a Dream,' a scene from the anime 'Perfect Blue' was recreated by Darren Aronofsky after he purchased the rights for that film. : r/MovieDetails TIL Darren Aronofsky owns the American filming rights to movie "Perfect Blue'', which he purchased for $59,000, just so he could film the now infamous "bath scene" with Jennifer Connelly in his Before/After - I was inspired by the bathroom scene from Perfect Blue.
